      역사학자이며 성경통독 전문가인 통(通) 박사 조병호가 출간한 『성경과 5대제국(영문판)』은 ‘세계역사와 성경역사를 통通 ’으로 엮은 책이다. 선행학습으로 다룬 ‘애굽’을 비롯, 본격적으로 앗수르, 바벨론, 페르시아, 헬라, 로마, 5대 제국의 역사를 성경의 역사와 더불어 담았다. 영국에서 8년간 유학하며 서구 역사에 관한 인식과 지식을 접하고, 이후 동양의 방법론과 서양의 방법론을 묶어 ‘통’ 방법론을 내어놓은 바 있는 저자의 통찰과 혜안을 엿보게 한다. 또한 이 책은 통通으로 성경과 5대 제국을, 한 권으로 성경과 5대 제국을, 하룻밤에 성경과 5대 제국을 살펴볼 수 있다는 측면에서 큰 장점이 있다.

      저자소개

      저자 : Byoungho Zoh

      저자 Byoungho Zoh는 created the 'Tong' method of studying the Bible, an approach that fuses rationality and sentimentality as well as the cultures of the East and the West together. He is the President of Bible Tongdokwon, and educational institution for studying the Word of God. He chaired the '21st Century Future Church Conference: The Companionship of the East and the West' for 10,000 ministers in 2007. In 2008, he acted as the co-representative of the 'Re-Orientation thru the Bible's Seoul Declaration of 140 Korean Theologians, and has authored more than 30 books. He is a speaker at the 500th Anniversary of Martin Luters's Nailing of his 95 Theses to the Door of All Saints Church Wittenberg 2017 Congress, Germany.

      통通박사 조병호는
      지난 30여 년간 한국 교회에 성경통독을 퍼뜨리고, 학문화한 성경통독 전문가이다. 이제, 통通성경의 세계화를 위해 열정을 쏟고 있다.

      성경통독원 원장, 하이기쁨교회 담임목사, 미국 드루대학교 객원교수

      2004년 독일 신학사전 RGG4에 아티클 ‘세계기독학생선교운동
      (Studentische Missionsbewegung)’을 기고했다.
      2006년 영국 왕립역사학회(Royal Historical Society)에 스피커로 초청되어 발제했다.
      2006년 삶의 방법론이자 새로운 성경 읽기의 방식으로서 ‘통(通)’을 최초로 말했다.
      2008년 한국 신학자 140인 서울선언 ‘성경을 통通한 재정향’의 공동대표로 책임을 감당했다.
      2014년 ‘통通성경 포뮬라(Formula for TongBible)’를 발표했다.
